Our story began mid 2021 when Sebastian, a visionary video producer from Vancouver, and Jazmina, a talented commercial photographer from Toronto embarked on a "short two-week vacation" to Mexico in search of freedom and creative purpose. Little did we know that this serendipitous encounter would lead to the birth of Awake Abroad Media—a convergence of our creative talents and unwavering commitment to helping businesses thrive.

Sebastian Lopez

Co-Founder & Executive Producer

Sebastian is a commercial photographer and video producer specializing in storytelling, brand content, and lifestyle marketing.

Born in Mexico City and raised in Toronto, Sebastian has acquired an eclectic professional and cultural background. Having lived in 11 cities around the world, Sebastian’s experience as a creative photographer and video producer is diverse and dynamic and has allowed him to build a portfolio equally diverse.

Jazmina Lopez Alzaiat

Co-Founder & Marketing Director

Internationally published, Jazmina is a commercial and editorial photographer specializing in lifestyle and portrait photography. She has been shooting professionally in Toronto for over 10 years and has enjoyed working with many incredible business owners, brands, and agencies to create imagery that captures who they are, and what they do.

Jazmina’s passion for helping brands communicate their message through visuals has made her an expert social media marketer and digital content strategist.
